Ministry Details
Christians are tasked with the responsibility of caring for those in need and displaying the love of Jesus to those who are less fortunate. We are called to serve and instructed to evidence our faith by deeds. Therefore, charity is not an optional extra, but an essential component of faith. Zion Gospel Fellowship is fortunate enough to provide support to many charities around the world. “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:6-8 NIV).
- Jesus taught us to feed the hungry, provide shelter for the destitute, and clothes for the poor. When we visit the sick and those who are in prison, it is as though we are doing it for Him. “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25:40)
